CAVEMAN,
by Roger Fritz, 1-21-00
I am the Kennewick man.
9000 years from now archeologists will dig up
my bones,
and marvel at the cellphone imbedded in my hip.
I was there in the early days,
before flying cities and the great space liners,
before the Cerelean War and the discover of
transmorphing.
I was there when primitive man battled against
freeway traffic and the common cold.
I was there when a man's noblest ambition was
to feed his family.
I was there when humanity's highest aspiration
was to live in peace.
